I Wish I Was In Paris

about moi

Fascinated by any and all places outside her Midwest hometown, Katie didn’t become a true francophile until faced with the decision of choosing between learning Spanish (the pratical choice), German (the language of her ancestors), and French (utter frivolity) when she was 14 and entering high school.

The first time Katie ever got on an airplane it was to visit Paris when she was 17. She has since been back to the city of light three times and is always in the process of planning her next visit. Meanwhile, her command of the French language continues to diminish, and she is quite certain that she will be arrested on her next visit for outright butchery of the language. Then she will have to stay forever.
